The new Ford Ecosport at Barlo Motors Thurles, Sales Manager Review

In ST-Line guise, the new Ford Ecosport looks fantastic and has a commanding driving position. The specification is superb with Sat Nav & half leather as standard as well as a multitude of driver aids, such as air conditioning and Sync 3. But what is sure to make the Ecosport stand out, is just how good this car is to drive. I took our diesel demonstrator home last night and have to say, I was pleasantly surprised as to just how good it was to drive. It was quiet inside the cockpit and the road holding was excellent, taking a multitude of bends with confidence. Braking was firm, but not overly and the car itself inspired you with confidence.

The new Ford Ecosport lives up to Fords standard of quality, both inside and out, that their customers have come to rely on over the years, solid build quality shouts at you from every corner. But, it’s what they have done with the looks of this new vehicle that is inspirational, it is simply a stunning vehicle to look at, from any angle. The infotainment centre in The New Ecosport is derived from the Ford Fiesta’s and both the layout and performance are excellent. For those wishing to listen to their music, there is a multitude of connections that will suit virtually all occupants and the quality of sound is excellent. The side opening tail lift also makes the Ecosport stand out as a car that strives to not be the same as any other, and in all aspects, the new Ford Ecosport delivers.

In comparison to the outgoing model, the New Ecosport is now a more rounded vehicle, the first thing that Ford improved, were the seats. These are now much more comfortable and less of a sit up straight kind of seat, offering both higher comfort levels whilst being more supportive . The exterior has been totally redesigned to keep the Ecosport part of the new look Ford range. New grill, headlights, fog lights and alloy wheels all add to the individual look of the new Ecosport.  Specification as above has also increased, but it’s the new B-platform (Chassis), which is shared with the new Fiesta and B-Max,  that really delivers a class leading quality of ride that people will notice first on the test drive. You see it and love it, we then take you through the specification and you love it more, then, you drive it and find out why the Ford Ecosport is a truly stunning small SUV. There are models in this small SUV sector from virtually all manufacturers nowadays, competition is stiff, but the new Ford Ecosport stands out as a quality, safe purchase. Ford have even included the new Ecosport in their “Clean Up” campaign which means that coupled with all of the above, you also get a great deal financially. There is simply no reason not to buy one. We are lucky enough to have both the petrol and diesel models available to drive in Thurles and cannot wait to show you, just how good they are.
